Can one get a multiple entry Shengen Visa to Switerland and France for a Russian citizen?

My girlfriend is Russian, we’d like to visit my brother in switzerland and then go to Paris on a separate occasion (I am British). I understand that Switzerland is now one of the Schengen countries.

My questions….
Can she get a Schengen visa from the Swiss Embassy?
Will it be a multiple entry visa? and how long will it be for?
Can we then use this visa to go to Paris?

We’ve tried contacting the Swiss Embassy but had no luck.
Any help would be very much appreciated, and will hopefully mean we can stop banging our heads against the wall!!

>Can she get a Schengen visa from the Swiss Embassy?

Yes, Switzerland is a member of the Schengen agreement since last year in December.

>Will it be a multiple entry visa?

This depends on your visa application. A multiple visa will be granted if you apply for visiting the Schengen zone on several occasions. But you may travel to Switzerland and France on a single entry visa if you do not leave the Schengen zone in beteween your travel.

>how long will it be for?

Schengen visa are in general issued based on the application, the itinerary provided, and are limited to a maximum of 90 days of stay within a six months period.
